The KCCA common ground is shared open space owned by the Association for the use and enjoyment of all members and their households. You are welcome to enjoy it any time, and it can be reserved for gatherings such as birthday parties, cookouts, and neighborhood get-togethers with advance approval from the Board.
A few things to know:
Reserve ahead. Please request approval before holding a gathering. A reservation covers your event only; the common ground cannot be taken over for ongoing private use such as gardens or storage.
No open fires. Fire pits, bonfires, and burning of any kind are not permitted. Enclosed barbecue grills are fine.
No permanent fixtures. Nothing may be built, installed, or planted on the common ground without written approval from the Association. Tents, tables, chairs, and other event items must be removed when your event ends.
No alcohol. Alcoholic beverages are not permitted on the common ground.
No vehicles. Motorized vehicles, including ATVs and dirt bikes, may not be driven or parked on the common ground. Dropping off equipment for a Board-approved event is the exception.
No trampolines or horseshoes. Activities that could endanger people or pets are not allowed.
Leave it as you found it. Please take all trash and belongings with you. Hosts are responsible for their guests and for any damage.
Be a good neighbor. Keep noise and activity considerate of the homes nearby.
Please feel free to request to use the common ground via the Contact Us page. Please allow ample time for a reply given that we are volunteers.
